Extinction...

I think that's where I'm headed.

I've been shuffling some stuff around in life lately. Some of it has been an active choice on my part and some of it has been reactive and due to everything that's coming down the pipe.

I tend to get like this every once in a while. When you combine budget time with our upcoming student retreat and then mix in all the regular daily details, you will start to see my head spinning.

So, my open letter to you is that you have not been forgotten. Who do I mean by "you". You can decide!

I've missed you. I feel like you've left me and I'm lonely. When I come to your page and see that you haven't written ... I feel sad. You don't take me out anymore! I don't feel special. Do you love me anymore?

Hugs and Kisses

Blogs are such funny things. We write them to work out our own thoughts and to share them with others. Somehow though we sometimes twist it into feeling like we are somehow obliged to post regularly, and some even try to make you feel guilty when you don't. What a strange invention, a cathartic device that goes on to produce more obligations and personal struggle.

I won't judge you Mike. I have resolved to take back my blog: to post when I feel like it and not feel guilty when I can't. It's your blog and you share when you feel like you can or want to. Take the power back!

Oh how the powers of the internet tear at my soul.

Readers that miss me.

Readers that release me to procrastinate.

What to do...what to do...

Knotter, Im tagging you with this little survey. I wanna see your results!

-Kerry

Here it is, The soundtrack of my life. * As decided by my iPod. *

The Rules:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that’s playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button

Opening Credits:
Milestone - Five Iron Frenzy: Only if my life were a skateboarding movie!

Waking Up:
Lyric - Zwan: Yeah, I can see this one working out.

First Day of School:
Big Time - Peter Gabriel: Does it get more perfect? I submit that it does not!

Falling In Love:
Walk On - U2: This works great! Especially if im walking away from an old girlfriend to robin.

Fight Song:
Tears and Rain - James Blunt: Oh My Goodness. Im a total and complete wuss. I can’t finish this survey cause I just chucked my iPod across the room.

Breaking Up:
Square One - Coldplay: Eh… I guess they can’t all be winners.

Prom:
Binary - Brave Saint Saturn: Crappy Prom Song. But still better than the 8 hours of house and hip hop they crammed into that 3 hour total suck fest.

Life:
Vermillion - The Album Leaf: If this is my walking around, every day, life soudtrack. That would rock.

Mental Breakdown:
Oh My God - Jars of Clay: Surprisingly, It kind of fits. In a slow, losing it kind of way.

Driving:
Let Go - Frou Frou: If I were in the movie “Garden State” this would be perfect. But Im not. But It’s still a great song.

Flashback:
Be Still My Soul - The Kry: I can see the slideshow playing on the canvas of my mind. Kinda cool.

Getting Back Together:
Anything You Say - Deas Vail: Good Choice.

Wedding:
Panama - Van Halen: Oh my Gosh I can’t stop laughing. Seriously, I’m crying as I type. How funny would this be to see Robin coming down the isle to this!!!!!

Birth of Child:
Needle and Thread - Sleeping at Last: WOW. This is actually the song I had playing the moment Caleb was born. One of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. I love this song. This is kind of creeping me out!

Final Battle:
Make a Joyful Noise / I Will Not Be Silent - David Crowder Band: For me, this actually works, in a weird, kind of, spiritual way.

Death Scene:
End - The Cure: Totally an aptly named song. Kind of a creepy vibe too, and the lyrics totally fit, in a “The Crow” kind of way.

Funeral Song:
Out of My Hands - Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds: Okay, now I’m crying and laughing. Im picturing the funeral scene in “Old School” with Will Ferrel singing “Dust in the wind”. I wish.

Ending Credits:
Friend of the Devil - Counting Crows: Yeah, going down to my favorite band, nice. Not the best choice of songs, but Ill take what apple gives me.
